Seven on Hot Dance/Pop Songs — Sabrina Carpenter just stepped into a Billboard chart she’d never been on before, and she did it with Madonna. Welcome back to the Sabrina Carpenter Daily Podcast. We’ve been circling this number all week, and now it’s finally here. Hot Dance/Pop Songs only launched in January 2025, so this chart is still pretty young — and Sabrina and Madonna are already in the history books on it. I was calling the Madonna collab a real move since Coachella, and now we’ve got the number: seven. Here's EuropeSays:
Carpenter appears for the very first time on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Pop Songs chart, which ranks the most-consumed tracks in America that straddle the line between pure pop and electronic dance music. “Bring Your Love” opens at No. 7, meaning the Grammy winner reaches the top 10 on her initial visit.
So, closing the loop from Monday: 'Bring Your Love' debuted at number seven on Hot Dance/Pop Songs, which gives Sabrina her first entry on that chart. And since Hot Dance/Pop Songs only started in January 2025, this isn’t her breaking into some old legacy ranking — it’s a brand-new Billboard chart, and she’s in the top ten on the first shot. We said in May this was the most interesting move either of them could make, and now there’s the proof. A debut at seven — not a slow climb, not some weird streaming blip — a top-ten entry on a chart her solo catalog had never touched. What’s interesting here is how new this chart is. Madonna’s own history on it is basically as short as Sabrina’s, so they’re both showing up while the record books are still getting written. Which answers the question I had after Coachella — is this collab opening a door, or just making noise? Number seven in week one says it’s a door.
