Kelsey Mitchell has 1,034 points, a WNBA single-season record, and she's heading into Sunday on six straight 25-point games. Washington gets to walk into Indianapolis and guard that. Good luck with that. Mitchell has also scored at least 20 in a league-record 25 straight games. Clark pointed to the efficiency, the cuts, the downhill pressure—exactly what makes a scorer this tough to scheme against. And Clark is at 8.5 assists a night with three straight double-doubles, so defenses can't just sell out on Kelsey. Pick your poison, then hope Indiana coughs it up. Washington had only nine turnovers in its 110-80 win at Chicago, so that last part matters. Thirty-three points, 12-for-17, seven threes—and Kelsey Mitchell now has 1,034 points. She passed A'ja Wilson's 1,021. That is a ridiculous scoring season. Mitchell's MVP case just got a huge boost: she owns the WNBA single-season scoring record. And 25 straight games with at least 20 points? You don't get there off one hot night. Plus, Caitlin Clark comes straight back from Germany and drops 28 with 14 assists in a 103-85 win. Toronto had to pick its poison, and Indiana handed them the whole medicine cabinet. Clark went 2-for-8 from three and still controlled the game: 12-for-12 at the line, 14 assists, and Mitchell got 17 shots. That's the offensive balance Stephanie White wants as the rotation tightens. Bleacher Report has Indiana fifth at 27-14, matched up with Atlanta at 27-14. Atlanta owns the tiebreaker, so the Fever are currently the road team in that first-round series. Same record, less home court. Washington can't turn into some sleepy Sunday afternoon where the ball sticks, turnovers pile up, and everybody says they'll clean it up Monday. That Mitchell record game made the rotation picture clearer: Clark created 14 assists, Mitchell scored 33, and Indiana has to keep that balance as the Minnesota doubleheader closes the schedule.
