Snell’s rocky return sinks Dodgers against Atlanta (May 11, 2026)

Blake Snell’s return to the mound was supposed to give the Dodgers a lift — instead, the Braves made sure it went the other way. Welcome to Dodgers Daily Fancast — I’m Devin, Cassidy’s here, and yeah, I’m already mad about this one. Seven to two is ugly, and now we’ve got the full breakdown on what went wrong with Snell and whether this is just a blip or something bigger — coming right up. Here’s True Blue LA:

Blake Snell made his 2026 season debut after missing the first month of the regular season, marking his first appearance since coming out of the bullpen for Game 7 of the World Series last year. Atlanta immediately loaded the bases with nobody out in the top of the first inning as Mauricio Dubón and Ozzie Albies singled while Snell walked Drake Baldwin.

Coming off Friday’s rotation crunch, Snell is back — but his debut left way more questions than answers. Five runs in three innings, bases loaded in the first before he’d even settled in. That is not the return anybody wanted. Spencer Strider carving us up and Blake Snell still shaking off the October rust? I can’t. The Braves do not get to feel this good about themselves. It’s one start, Devin. The man’s been out a month. Let’s not write the eulogy before he’s even thrown 60 innings. Twenty-five pitches in the first and Ozzie Albies golfing one off the dirt into left — that’s a bad day, not some deep mystery. I’m allowed to be annoyed. We’ve put links to all the stories from today’s show in the notes, so if something caught your ear, you can dig in a little more there.

That’s Dodgers Daily Fancast for today. This is a Lantern Podcast.
