BTS’ ARIRANG era still has the world in its grip — and this week, the numbers are starting to feel less like a comeback spike and more like a full takeover.
This is BTS Today, with the chart moves, comeback buzz, and ARMY reactions shaping the day.
Sunday stack is loaded.
It really is. So let’s start with ARIRANG still holding strong worldwide.
From Moneycontrol:
BTS' album ARIRANG has made history again, holding at No. 3 on Billboard 200 in its fourth week. This achievement follows BTS' three consecutive weeks at the top of the Billboard 200. The album is also the first album by a Korean artist to reach No. 1 on the Billboard200, and the first to stay within the top 3 for four weeks.
Four weeks in the top three? That’s staying power. Fandom muscle can launch you — but BTS came back from hiatus and basically turned the chart into a residency.
And over in the UK, from Kim Sun-woo at Yonhap News:
From Baek Byung-yeul at The Korea Times:
K-pop powerhouse BTS has commenced its highly anticipated North American tour in Tampa, Florida, marking the group's first full-scale concert series in the region in four years. The group opened the North American leg of its “BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’” at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa with performances on Saturday, Sunday and a third show scheduled for April 28.
Four years is forever in pop music. But with BTS, the demand clearly didn’t wander off. They came back, and the room was still full.
Now, on the tour’s visual world — from Uristocrat:
When BTS returned to the stage on April 9 for the opening night of their ARIRANG World Tour, they were wearing Korean armor. Not literally — but almost. Designer Jay Songzio built their comeback costumes around a concept he called "Lyrical Armor": the toughness of traditional Joseon-era protective wear, filtered through the sorrow and longing of han
That’s the kind of stage styling where the clothes are doing real storytelling. Thesis work with shoulder pads. BTS is putting heritage right at the center of the frame.
And for the comeback backstory, from Newswav:
BTS, the world's largest boyband, has returned to the stage after four years of hiatus due to mandatory military service. The group's members, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, and Jungkook, worked on their comeback album, ARIRANG, in Los Angeles before their return to Seoul.
A BTS comeback is a music story, sure — but it’s also a global logistics event with feelings. And that documentary angle matters, because fans want to know what they made, and what the hiatus changed.
