BLACKPINK Takes Over Vegas, Europe and the Met (May 06, 2026)

May 06, 2026 · 4m 36s · Listen

BLACKPINK is somehow everywhere at once right now — Las Vegas, a European festival stage, and, knowing this group, probably the Met Gala red carpet too. I'm Devin, and Lisa just became the first K-pop artist to headline a Las Vegas residency, so yeah, everybody can sit down for a second. I'm Cassidy, and Jennie is also locked in as a headliner at Open'er 2026, which is a huge European festival booking. Solo era or not, if two members are making history in the same week, that's a group moment. YG can label it however it wants. From WZWZ - Z 92.5:

Blackpink member LISA is set to break new ground this fall with a headlining residency in Las Vegas, becoming the first K-pop artist to launch a solo show on the Strip.

The 29-year-old performer, born Lalisa Manoban, will take the stage at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace for her residency, ‘Viva La Lisa,’ beginning November 13.

Lisa is headlining The Colosseum at Caesars Palace this November — 'Viva La Lisa,' four dates, and a real first: the first K-pop artist to hold a solo residency on the Strip. That room has hosted Celine Dion and Adele, so she's walking into something major. Between Alter Ego, Coachella, White Lotus, and now Vegas, Lisa is on a completely different timeline. She didn't just go solo, she went full icon arc. Four dates means this is a limited run, so let's not stretch it past what it is. But the venue prestige and that 'first K-pop' label are real, and those are the details that travel fast. Four dates is how residencies start, Cassidy. Adele extended. Celine extended. Let's circle back to that 'limited run' framing in about six months. NME, with Victoria Luxford:

Jennie has been announced as the Saturday headline act of this year’s Open’er festival.

K-pop icon Jennie will headline the Orange Main Stage on July 4, and was announced alongside new additions Viagra Boys(July 1, Alter Stage) and Luvcat(July 4, Alter Stage).

Jennie is headlining Open'er 2026 — Saturday, July 4th, main stage in Gdynia, Poland. That's confirmed by NME, and she's on a lineup with The Cure, Florence and the Machine, and Calvin Harris. Open'er, Mad Cool, Lollapalooza, Governor's Ball — Jennie is running a full Western festival circuit this summer, and I need everybody to understand how big that is for a K-pop solo act. The festival's own press release is citing 55 million monthly Spotify listeners and nearly 90 million Instagram followers. They know exactly who they booked, and they're not being subtle about it. The Ruby rollout set this up, and now she's cashing it in on festival main stages across Europe and the US in the same summer. That's a real pop career arc, not just a one-off crossover moment. Here's Pannative:

BLACKPINK's Jisoo, Jenie, Rosé, and Lisa each attended the 2026 Met Gala held on May 4 (local time) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

This marked the first time all four members of BLACKPINK attended the Met Gala together, with Jisoo attending for the first time.

OT4 at the Met Gala — and this is a first. All four members on the same red carpet, and it's Jisoo's Met debut. That's the headline, full stop. Four looks, zero overlap. Jennie in aqua sequins, Rosé in dramatic black with the bird accent, Lisa doing experimental avant-garde with the faux arms and veil situation, Jisoo in shimmering pink fairy energy — they did not coordinate, and somehow that made it hit harder. Lisa's look is going to be the one people are still screenshotting in a week. A giant veil held up by fake arms? That's a fashion moment, not just a photo op. Jisoo's a first-timer, and she walked in wearing a multicolored pink floral fairy gown. No warm-up, no playing it safe. Immediate top-tier Met energy.
