BLACKPINK Takes Over Vegas, Europe and the Met (May 06, 2026)

May 06, 2026 · 4m 43s · Listen

BLACKPINK is everywhere right now — Vegas, a huge European festival, and whatever’s brewing in the Met world. Welcome back to the BLACKPINK Daily Podcast. We are stacked today — Lisa is making K-pop history in Las Vegas, Jennie is headlining Open’er 2026, and we need to deal with some pannatic noise too. Whether you want to call it solo era or not, the footprint these two are leaving right now is impossible to ignore. Let’s get into it. From WZWZ - Z 92.5:

Blackpink member LISA is set to break new ground this fall with a headlining residency in Las Vegas, becoming the first K-pop artist to launch a solo show on the Strip.

The 29-year-old performer, born Lalisa Manoban, will take the stage at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace for her residency, ‘Viva La Lisa,’ beginning November 13.

Lisa is headlining The Colosseum at Caesars Palace this November with ‘Viva La Lisa’ — four dates across two weeks. And yes, she’s officially the first K-pop artist to land a Las Vegas residency. The Colosseum. The room Celine Dion owned for years. Lisa is 29 and walking into that space. I need a minute. This isn’t just a one-off show — it’s a residency, and that says something bigger. That’s institution-level booking, and it fits everything she’s built since Alter Ego dropped last year. Alter Ego, Coachella, White Lotus, and now Vegas. Somebody make the timeline graphic, because the general public is still sleeping on how nonstop this era has been. NME, with Victoria Luxford:

Jennie has been announced as the Saturday headline act of this year’s Open’er festival.

K-pop icon Jennie will headline the Orange Main Stage on July 4, and was announced alongside new additions Viagra Boys(July 1, Alter Stage) and Luvcat(July 4, Alter Stage).

Jennie is headlining Open’er Festival in Gdynia, Poland on July 4th — the Saturday closing slot on the Orange Main Stage, straight from the festival itself. And look at the company she’s in: The Cure, Florence and the Machine, Nick Cave — this is not a K-pop-adjacent booking, this is a full festival headline. And it’s not even a one-off. Mad Cool, Lollapalooza, Governor’s Ball, now Open’er — Jennie is doing a full European and North American festival run off the back of Ruby. That is a solo artist operating way beyond where most people expected her to land. The festival’s own press release puts her at 55 million monthly Spotify listeners and nearly 90 million Instagram followers. When a European rock festival is writing your bio like that, the crossover argument is basically done. Here's Pannative:

BLACKPINK's Jisoo, Jenie, Rosé, and Lisa each attended the 2026 Met Gala held on May 4 (local time) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

This marked the first time all four members of BLACKPINK attended the Met Gala together, with Jisoo attending for the first time.

OT4 at the Met Gala — and this is actually historic. It’s the first time all four have attended together, and it’s Jisoo’s first Met appearance ever. That alone makes this a headline, fashion aside. And they did not coordinate, which I respect so much — four completely different silhouettes, four different vibes, zero overlap. Jennie in aqua sequins, Rosé in that dramatic bird-accent black dress, Lisa with the faux arms holding a giant veil — which is unhinged in the best way — and Jisoo in fairy-pink with floral cascades. They ate. Lisa’s look is going to dominate the fashion conversation just on concept alone. It’s experimental, theatrical, instantly memorable — that’s her lane, and she leaned all the way in. Jisoo’s first-timer energy was not playing either. Shimmering multicolored pink, all those flowing florals — she showed up like she’s been doing this for a decade.
