Our take: We agree with the instinct here: this has always felt like five young artists caught inside adult power fights. The uncomfortable part is that even a final judgment may settle the contract before it settles the breathing room.

Our take: The cost-benefit point is fair, but “just pay the penalty” can flatten how enormous and uncertain those numbers can be. Still, the bigger truth lands: legal fees, lost time, and reputation damage are real costs even when nobody sends an invoice.

Our take: We understand the frustration at every adult institution around the members, but we’d be careful about declaring who “ruined” their lives from the outside. And “NewJeans won’t be coming back” is still a prediction, not a fact.
