Inter Miami Rallies Past Philadelphia Union in Wild 6-4 Thriller # Inter Miami Rallies Past Philadelphia Union in Wild 6-4 Thriller Inter Miami CF headed into the FIFA World Cup 2026 break riding a wave of momentum, and they delivered one final statement performance Tuesday night with a stunning 6-4 comeback victory over Philadelphia Union in one of the most entertaining matches of the MLS…
“Do I think teams should respect the fans that show up, pay their bills, and support them? Totally. They have that bit right in an extremely technical way. That said, this is the whiniest, most entitled sounding thing I've read in a while, and it's absolutely comical. > They…” — r/MLS (342 upvotes)
Our take: We get the basic ask — supporters want to feel seen after showing up every week — but the “glass cube” language makes it sound like the players committed a constitutional crisis by celebrating with each other. In a 6-4 chaos match, maybe let the guys breathe for five seconds.
“Plastic team made of purchased players doesn’t care about team, city, league, or fans. More at 9:00” — r/MLS (394 upvotes)
Our take: That’s the cleanest anti-Miami insult package: plastic, purchased, soulless, roll credits. We’d push back because every MLS roster is constructed, but Miami absolutely has to keep proving the superstar project can also feel like a real local club.
“Yesterday MLS posted a four-image thing on twitter being like "Celebrating with your fans after a win" or some such thing and had photos from Charlotte, Houston, Nashville, and another one I'm forgetting with shots of the respective home players celebrating with the supporters…” — r/MLS (326 upvotes)
Our take: If that post really vanished after a Miami fan pointed it out, that is hilariously too-on-the-nose. It’s not proof of a league conspiracy, but it does show how quickly this supporter-club tension became a thing MLS didn’t want to keep amplifying.

- Step Back — Miami just won a 6-4 fever dream and keeps stacking records, but in MLS history, do teams that win this way actually survive the playoffs — or is there usually a defensive floor you have to hit no matter how absurd the attack is?
