Our take: We buy the realpolitik read: once a model looks strategically useful, the culture-war label gets a lot less sticky. And the “unfettered access” question is exactly the contract fight hiding under the rhetoric — whether the government wants ordinary lawful-use access, or the power to ignore Anthropic’s surveillance and weapons limits.
