Our take: We like the humility here: forty years in software buys perspective, not prophecy. The medicine analogy is useful because it suggests the job market may stratify around judgment, accountability, and taste, not simply vanish into a prompt box.

Our take: The calculator line is funny, and the pushback is healthy; inevitability is often just marketing wearing a lab coat. But dismissing the capability jump as merely a new calculator operation undersells why firms are spending tens of billions on compute, power, and workflow redesign.

Our take: This is the big philosophical fork, and it is worth taking seriously: if machines cover more survival work, the social meaning of work changes. The hard part is that our institutions still distribute income, status, and healthcare through jobs, not through metaphysics.
